Regency Style Brushed Steel and Brass Tinder Box
About the Item
Unusual and very handsome brushed steel and polished brass tinder box. This box has a removable tin liner that would have been used to fill with hot coals and used as a portable heater. When not is use it was for storing kindling by the fireplace. It has the classic Regency look, beautifully decorated with brass nail heads, handles and feet and a lovely fret-work grill. A great box for the intended use, for kindling or as a wonderful small storage piece in any room of the house. It also makes a unique side table.
