20th Century Italian 800 Solid Silver Jewel Box
About the Item
Solid silver jewelry box.
This box was made completely by hand, rectangular parallelepiped.
To detach it and elevate it from the support surface, 4 small feet made with the casting technique were welded.
The classic baroque scrolls have been engraved on the body.
A small handle, again made using the casting technique, was welded to the base of the lid to facilitate opening.
The lid, in addition to being engraved with scrolls and flowers, was knurled by hand to highlight the baroque motif.
A small floral composition has been fixed in the center of the lid.
The inside of the jewelery box has been gilded with 24Kt gold.
Made in Milan - Italy by the Ge.Ca. silverware artisan workshop.
