Antique Round Birks Sterling Silver Footed Jewelry & Ring or Trinket Box
About the Item
This jewelry and ring or tricket box was made by and unknown English maker and retailed by Birks. The box dates to approximately 1920 and is done in a Victorian style. This ring box is cmposed of sterling silver with a velvet lined interior. The box is round, with a hinged lid which has been ornately engraved with a scroll and floral motif. The box is monogrammed with an "M" which is accented with a stylized engraved wreath. The box is clearly marked "Birks" and "Sterling" on the bottom along with the English hallmarks for sterling silver and the maker.
