Miguel Berrocal
Miguel Ortiz Berrocal was a renowned Spanish artist, born on September 28, 1933, in Villanueva de Algaidas, Spain, and passed away on May 31, 2006, in Antequera, Spain. He left an indelible mark on the world of contemporary sculpture, especially through his complex and innovative works. Berrocal studied at the School of Fine Arts in Malaga and the School of Fine Arts in Paris, where he was influenced by artists such as Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí. He is best known for his modular sculptures in bronze, aluminum, and resin, which could be disassembled into numerous pieces, encouraging viewers to actively engage in their understanding and appreciation.
