Cuir d'Ocean France Bespoke Shagreen Watch and Cufflink Box w Bone Trim and Key
About the Item
This is an exquisite shagreen with bone trim watch and cufflink box of the finest quality and construction made by famed bespoke manufacturer of luxury objects, Cuir d'Ocean of France. Items by this maker could be found at stores such as Huntsman and Dunhill. This particular box was purchased at Bergdorf Goodman in 1998. It contains a handled tray with two compartments and a cufflink (or ring) holder that mounts onto a three compartment divided lower portion. The box, tray and compartments are all lined with tan suede and a black velvet covers the bottom of the box. Hardware is brass.
Burnished Cuirs d'Ocean mark on back interior of box.
The box is in superb condition. The only imperfection seen may be from manufacture. A small fissure in the bone trim at the top rear of the piece can be seen on close inspection as shown in one of the detail photos.
