A very special silver-gilt jewelry box, known as "Vermeil" in French.
An extraordinary form of gilding in which a silver object is gilded.
Another special feature of this jewelry box is a lid made from a slice of agate with a wonderful natural pattern in various shades of brown.
The natural outer rind of the agate stone is a real eye-catcher.
Stamped at the bottom "A925".
