Antique Russian Malachite Miniature Candelabra

About the Item

A fine quality malachite and gilt bronze ormolu figural miniature candelabrum from the turn of the late 19th - early 20th century. The stunning, handmade, exquisitely detailed rare antique features three scrolling arms that morph into a dragon like mythological figure, each with ornate openwork sconce candle socket, at center a small candle holder platform, atop the hourglass form malachite standard with shaped octagonal knop, circular malachite base with gilded dore bronze mounts, resting on three highly detailed open mouth, teeth exposed lizard or gecko form feet. Dimensions: (approx) 5" high x 3.25" diameter (inches) Provenance: Purchased from a private estate through Heritage Auction.
