Folio is a modern candle’s holder, very minimalistic in the shape conceive a tri-dimensional aspect simply with a craftsman’s hand made gesture that creates its curvy shape. Made out from a pair of 2mm thick copper layers attached with a solid sole, it can find place everywhere. A natural oxidation, which is its own natural finish and enhancement, will eventually accurse, either fastly or more quietly, depending on the frequency and location of its use. Mingardo Ilario founded Mingardo Blacksmith Workshop in 1970, after over twenty years’ experience in the metal processing field. The production was initially focused on simple blacksmith works for the construction industry. Over the time, it has become more refined, enabling the company to collaborate with internationally renowned companies and architects: from the first collaborations with architect Carlo Scarpa to the more recent commissions for Museo del Novecento in Milan, Parco della Musica in Florence, and Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. Over the years, the Workshop has achieved great results, with the production of unique metal products, all hand-wrought by a highly skilled team of specialized artisans.
