    It is the very worn look that creates the wonderful appeal of this original painted and carved horse from Sweden. The brick red paint has been chipped and distressed while the tattered leather ears, parts missing to bridle and crackles to the old leather saddle missing one stirrup reflect a simpler time. This antique pair of wall decorations from Italy each feature elegantly hand-carved scrolling acanthus leaf plaques, full of beautiful ribbing and texture. Lightly carved floral outlines further embellish the voided spots within the front of the wooden backplates.
