An exquisite and monumental French parcel-gilt and patinated bronze six-light torchieres floor lamps
Signed "Moreau Sculteur"
Second half of the 20th century.
The magnificent patinated bronze putti wearing a foliate wreath is holding on their head a reeded gilt dish, with six scrolling foliate arms terminating in conforming dishpan and candleholder, both resting on a fluted black pedestal with parcel gilt floral swags, raised on a gilt bronze foliate-inspired base.
The artist portrayed a masterful depiction of emotional expression and proportions of the putti. Meticulous attention was given to every detail of the putti. It is truly stunning and makes a statement in any location of the home.
The Moreau family was infamous for their bronze, marble and terracotta sculptures circa 19th century in France.
