19th Century Brass Candlesticks, England, circa 1830-1860 Three Pairs

About the Item

This selection of baluster-stemmed Victorian brass candlesticks are all about 10" high. They represent the vast variety of design British brass casters brought to the much needed candle holders of the mid-19th century. The wider the bases, the safer the candlestick was from tipping over. The more elaborate the turned baluster stems, the more the candle flame reflected off the shinny brass stick. There is nothing more charming as groupings of candlesticks lining a fireplace mantel shelf or welcoming guests to a dinner table of fancy brass candlesticks creating a festive glow. Tallest pair is 10" high Shortest pair is 8.75" high.
