19th Century Russian Silver and Polychrome Cloisonne Enamel Candle Holders

An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Asian sterling silver candlesticks; an addition to our Asian silverware collection. These exceptional antique Asian sterling silver candlesticks have a square form. The plain cylindrical capitals of these exceptional examples of antique 1890s silverware are fitted with fixed square sconces ornamented with a simplistic lobed design to the rim. The capitals are supported by impressive Aztec totem pole style columns, embellished with chased decorated offset cuboid segments. The lower portion of the cuboid column is plain and unembellished. The swept square foot of each candlestick is further embellished with chased stylised gadroon decoration. These exceptional silver candlesticks do not have weighted bases. These candlesticks have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as sterling silver. Condition These antique Asian silver...

An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver and enamel Art Deco candlesticks; an addition to our antique silverware collection These exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver piano candlesticks have a plain tapering square form onto a circular spreading base. The cylindrical capitals are each embellished with a band of guilloche enamel to a plain circular sconce. The capitals are supported by square tapering columns, ornamented with black enamel panels and accented with impressive Art Deco silver motif to one side. The geometric designs are embellished with eighteen pavé set marcasites. The base of each Art Deco piano candle holder is ornamented with further guilloche enamel, to a plain collet style rim. The plain hallmarked waisted cylindrical capitals of these antique silver candlesticks surmount circular rounded drip pans.
