Pair of Fine French Ormolu and Alabaster Candlesticks with Goat & Hoof Motif
About the Item
A fine French ormolu-mounted alabaster candlesticks with heavily gilded and three scrolled goat head supports and hoof feet. The alabaster is hand-carved. The decoration is neoclassical with a beaded motif at the base of the candle stands and stylized acanthus detailing throughout.
