C F A Voysey Attributed Edward Barnard Arts & Crafts Brass Chamberstick

About the Item

An unusual Arts & Crafts brass chamberstick attributed to C.F.A. Voysey and made by Edward Barnard & Son with date marks for 1910. This stylish and heavily made Edwardian brass chamberstick has a wide round top with raised central candle holder and stands supported on a wide oval shaped base with a heart shaped cut out motif with a square edged angled carry handle with further cut out designs. The stand is attached by two larger copper rivets and the base is marked E.B.&.S and also has a registration number dating the chamberstick to 1910. Edward Barnard & Son made Voysey designs. Provenance: Acquired from the UK Art market. In good original condition with light wear associated with age and use.
