Sigurd Persson, set of 7 brass Romb candle holders, 1980s
About the Item
Set of seven Romb candle holders designed by Sigurd Persson for his own company. This design was created by Sigurd in 1985 but has a clear mid-century modernist vibe that was very popular in the 1960s even though they saw the light of day in the height of the post modernist movement. Super clean and minimalist design that is very typical of the Scandinavian style that really came on the scene in the 1950s and 1960s. This exact model won the award: "Utmärkt Svensk Form" (Exceptional Swedish Form). Four of them wears the original sticker on the bottom from this award. They are all in a very good vintage condition with light ware consistent with age and use.
