Pair of Large Midcentury Brass and Wood Candleholders, European
About the Item
A pair of large candleholders with wood detail on the stem, early to Mid-20th Century. European, found in Germany, designer unknown.
These pieces are nicely made of spun brass and wood, each with a separate brass dish which rests in the top and can be easily removed for cleaning. Nice overall condition with a warm patina to the metal. There is a little asymmetry from the making process together with signs of age and use throughout, including scratches, dents, losses to the finish of the wood, minor surface rust on the central thread (not visible in use) and some traces of wax.
