French Carriage Clock Attr. Drocourt for Tiffany Reed Paris Mignonnette No1
About the Item
This lovely little jewel of a carriage clock features a profusely floriate engraved gilded Mignonnette No.1 Corniche case with rectangular top. The folding handle is over the oval beveled glass escapement which is
engraved with monogram. The four beveled glass sides are
held by chamfered stiles and hinged rear door with the whole
on a plain straight base with bracket feet.
The dial is circular white enamel with black Roman
numerals and outside Arabic count minutes in red with
plain blued steel hands, surrounded by a floriate engraved
gilt mask.
The movement is an eight day spring driven timepiece movement
with platform lever escapement.
