Edwardian Balloon mantel clock in a beautiful Tortoiseshell case with silver line stringing and standing on brass bun feet.
Enamel dial with Arabic numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands, signed ‘Penlington & Batty, Liverpool.
Eight day French movement with platform escapement.1905
‘Watchmakers and clockmakers of the world’ by Brian Loomes lists Penlington & Batty as working in Liverpool from 1835 - 1911
