English mahogany 8-day bracket clock by Anderson

About the Item

A beautiful striking Victorian bracket clock with an unusually attractive mahogany case, with good proportions and lovely detailed woodcarvings circa 1850. The typical Victorian finely engraved silvered dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands and strike-silent facility. The two train fusee rectangular movement with pull repeating. Anchor escapement knife edge suspension. The back door nicely decorated with beautiful fretwork. Signature: Hugh Anderson Gravesend
