Figural Bisque Porcelain w Gilt Bronze Clock Napoleonic Officer 19th century

About the Item

Made of bisque porcelain in the middle of 19th century, presumably by Royal French Porcelain Manufacture de Sevres, the clock in the form of a scene where an elegant officer was depicted at intermedia of military routine, going to merrily celebrate seldom rest time with good beverage and more. His unbuttoned uniform and relaxed posture speak for a state of complete serenity. His patched sleeve uniform and short broadsword leads to the artillery corps of the French infantry from the time of Napoleon I.
