About the Item

A mantel clock in reddish- brown figured wood veneer with dore mounts in the baroque style. The gilt metal dial with enamel numerals, the case with dore scrolled acanthus leaf frame with cartouche and floral crest. A glass cartouche on the front to view the works. Raised on paw front feet. Black painted wood backing. With a key for the works. The clock is missing the pendulum and the timing function is unknown. The winding of the mechanism will enable ticking but not completely tested since pendulum is missing, no chime sound, wear to dore finish. In need of restoration. Dimensions: H. 22 3/4", W. 12", Depth 5" Condition: Please see detail photos. There is some tarnish to the dore, otherwise presenting well in a fine Baroque manner.
