Kienzle Clock Works Louis XV Style Tall Case Clock w/Bronze Figural Top

About the Item

By Kienzle clock works, Scwennigen-on-Nekar. Patent No. 125605. Made for the European market. A fine parquetry shaped case with floral vine marquetry sides and tall cabriole legs. The brass clock face with enamel numerals. Numerous brass mounts including twin putti masks as wind deities, leafy scrolls and sabots. The top with a wonderful bronze neoclassical figure of "Old Man Time" reclining and holding his scythe. Working condition is unknown. Lacking key. Important: do not move the hour or minute hands clockwise or counterclockwise H. 90", W. middle 24", Depth middle 15 1/4" Condition: Please see detail photos. The lower left front with stable age crack and old stain, left side with several repaired cracks and some losses but stable, sporadic veneer losses, tarnished brass and bronze especially the top figure. Being sold decoratively.
