About the Item

Magnificent late 19th century tall case clock in the French Louis XV style with gilt bronze mounts over case with kingwood veneer after the original model by Charles Cressent (French, 1685-1768), with white porcelain face signed twice Baltazar and Paris, after Balthazar Martinot (1636-1714), and several mounts with the "C" couronee stamp. 101 inches tall, 22 inches wide and 12.5 inches deep.
