About the Item

The set consisting of a clock and a pair of candlesticks is an example of Art Deco applied art. It is a high-class antique and a very rare item. The clock and candlesticks are characterized by elegant, slightly geometrical forms and sublime colors emphasizing the qualities of the materials used. Both the clock form and mechanism have been designed in such a way that they please the eye. The transparent elements of the clock allow you to rave about the precisely made verse and view it from the outside The main emphasis was placed on color and material values. The tone is maintained in black, white and warm, copper shades of orange. Light also brings out the beauty of the materials. Metal elements in the rays of the sun take the entire spectrum of amber shades - from dark brown to even bright orange. The composition is symmetrical, vertical and horizontal elements perfectly harmonizing with each other creating a simple, yet decorative whole. The repeated motifs of rings and circles correspond with each other and build a perfectly composed form. The base set on oval copper feet was made of black stone and light marble with melange color with orange and black inlays. On it were placed two smooth, copper columns, decorated with metal rings. The middle part is a glass, open case, behind which there is an octagonal metal clock face. Tips and internal, geometric divisions, in which Arabic indexes made of copper are inscribed. The clock has a pendulum with a round weight. The front of the display case is flanked by metal stripes in orange and silver. The clock mechanics are visible from the back. The columns support the cornice of light and dark marble. The culmination is a metal application with two semicircular elements, referring in its form to a round pendulum weight. The set is completed by a pair of candlesticks for two light sources. They have the same decoration and the same colors. Their stone bases on which were placed three, shrinking, silvery rings supporting metal, copper arms. The bottom part of simple perks is decorated with three rings in silver and copper colors. The oblong glass shades imitate candles. Candlesticks are electric. Measurement Clock: 41 cm x 12 cm, height 38 cm Candlesticks: 25 cm x 10 cm, height 35 cm.
