Art Deco French clock with bright chrome outer and satin chrome face, sky blue rim with chrome batons for 5 minute increments, double baton for Noon, and aluminous hands and small illuminous squares at each baton. Clock face is immaculate, with some minor age patina particularly to the lower stepped foot and rear, but part of its age and history. Still retains the original pink felt to the base. The base is hinged, so it can tilt the angle of the face. The time winder and hand adjustment is to the rear, where-as the speed adjustment (“+” or “-“), is to the top of the clock rear body. The face is marked “8 DAY” below noon, and also in small letters “FOREIGN”. The foreign mark is for entry into the U.K. after 1915, as the British introduced that “the item imported, had to have “Country of Origin”, or marked “Foreign”, to assist local British Manufacture to compete with Imports, France, circa 1930.
