Art Deco Skyscraper Chrome Alarm Clock, French, circa 1930
About the Item
For your consideration is this iconically designed little French Art Deco alarm clock still with it's original leather carry case. To the dial is written 'A LA Renaissance 47- 49 Boul St Martins Paris'. In the 1930s this was a largest and most prestigious horological shop in Paris, please see all images, one of which is an original advert to this shop. If you admire the styling of this era then the casing to this timepiece should tick all boxes, superb skyscraper shape in bright crisp chrome. The body of the clock can be tilted. Silk lined case with leather exterior and little brass lock is home to the clock and is in good vintage condition and free from damage. Condition of the clock is good, the chrome is free from tarnishing, heavy scratches or pitting. The dial face shows some discoloration but in our opinion nothing distracting. As with all our clocks this little fella has been fully and professionally serviced by a qualified horologist.
