French Figural Bronze Clock, Louis Sauvageau

About the Item

Impressive 19th century French gilt and patinated bronze figural clock signed Louis Sauvageau. The beautiful patinated bronze Egyptian Revival-style woman with a bird and a fan amid gilt palm trees and flowers seated on a gilt bronze foliate base with scrolled feet. The movement made by Japy Frères dated 1883 with white painted metal 3.75" dial and black Roman numeral hour markers and minute track, two train movement, beaded gilt bronze bezel. Measures: 21.5" H x 22" W x 10" D.
