Howell James Art Nouveau Cased Strut Clock

About the Item

A highly unusual and rare Art Nouveau gilt bronze strut clock in the manner of Cole and Signed "Howell James and Co. to the Queen London & Paris No. 898". The typical Cole style oval strut clock dial and movement with silvered engine turned dial of high quality and fine blue steel hands. The gilt bronze case of trefoil shape with two classically draped nymphs flanking the dial, two cherubs to the base and all entwined with typical Art Nouveau leafy foliage.
