Post-modern Cloud Clock by Heide Warlamis, Vienna Collection Porcelain, Numbered
About the Item
This porcelain cloud clock was designed by Austrian master Heide Warlamis, part of the esteemed Vienna Collection from the 1980s. This rare numbered limited edition piece is marked as number 7 out of 500. The porcelain clock is molded into the shape of a billowing cloud, with bold red Memphis-style zig-zags on its surface. The clock face is traditional, with Roman numerals, which contrasts beautifully with the modern design of the cloud.
This porcelain cloud clock, with its architectural qualities and distinctive style, is a celebration of Warlamis's commitment to both honoring tradition and breaking new ground.
HEIDE WARLAMIS (b. 1942) is an Austrian designer who founded her Vienna studio where she focuses on small sculptures in 1975. In 1981, Warlamis began the development of her porcelain design collection, which under the name Vienna Collection led to worldwide presentation as well as international awards and achievements. In this development process, she dealt intensively with the Viennese tradition, which once produced a surplus of artistic objects, but never experienced a renewal until the collection of Warlamis.
