Antique Victorian Single Fusee Wall Clock with Mother of Pearl Inlay

Antique and rare Victorian wall clock crafted from mother of pearl inlaid papier-mâché, featuring a single fusee mechanism. Exceptional in quality, it is challenging to find another of similar caliber. This decorative piece showcases a black lacquer finish adorned with intricate inlays, creating a stunning visual appeal. The clock boasts a high-quality, clean single fusee 8-day movement that is fully operational. The clock dial bears the markings 'Fritschler' and 'Carlisle.' Overall dimensions are 42cm in width, 63cm in height, and 16cm in depth. As expected with antique furniture of this age, there are historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs, restorations, and alterations. A few extinct woodworm holes are present on the back, treated as a precaution. Stock No. 15861.
