Cuckoo Clock, Cuckoo Clock in Canaletto Walnut and Leather
About the Item
Cuckoo clock covered in leather plus in color variants with brass hands, pendulum and trim. Shell made of plywood with exposed parts made of turned solid walnut. The special mechanics allow the side exit of the stylized walnut bird. The classic sound that marks time is governed by a photocell that shuts it out during hours of darkness. Silent mode can be selected.
A battery powers its operation. Leather plus watch upholstery reveals a complex craftsmanship that involves wetting the leather several times to make it adhere perfectly to the shell without creases or wrinkles. Craftsmanship and innovation come together: given the slightly larger weight and size
of the bird and the desire to get it off to one side, the search for a way to make the mechanism work perfectly led to the design of a longer and stronger mechanical arm.
