About the Item

A large and rare antique gold plated tole wall clock, Empire, France, circa 1820. Eight-day Japy Freres movement with string pendulum and hourly/half-hourly strike on bell. The movement has been serviced by our qualified Horologist and is in perfect working order. Tole - painted, enameled or lacquered tin plate used to make decorative domestic objects.
