Antique Brass Letter or Envelope Holder Paper Clip

About the Item

Antique brass letter or envelope holder with two snakes wrapped around a fountain, birdbath or column. Not sure the meaning of it, but it does make you think the symbol for medicine. Snakes are considered to represent healing and can be found throughout medicine. Snakes are also thought to represent the earth by Native Americans who believed snakes are able to be in tune with the earth in ways other living beings cannot. It is capable of holding papers, envelopes or a stack of photos and will make a wonderful gift.
