Il set si caratterizza per la particolarissima impugnatura in shagreen, la pelle chiamata anche galuchat, molto usata negli arredi del periodo Art Decò del secolo scorso.
La pelle shagreen é composta da piccolissimi grani che sembrano perline, e con la lavorazione l'impugnatura risulta liscia al tatto.
