WMF German Jugendstil Brass Roller Desk Blotter
About the Item
A very stylish German Jugendstil brass roller desk blotter by renowned makers WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) and dating from around 1910. The desk roller has a molded rectangular shaped brass top with a raised column shaped handle and a molded patterned rim. The central area is slightly raised and has a hand hammered finish which flows down either side and over the edge. The roller has a sprung steel which fits neatly beneath the folded end edges of the handle and the handle has an impressed beehive and ostrich mark applied to one end.
