On a tripod with curved legs decorated with a disc in the center, stands the piece, also decorated with those same discs and, in addition, with a central vase and a baluster on the top. The lectern that finishes is decorated by heart-shaped iron pieces with stars at the corners and, in the center, a Greek cross with diamond diamonds on its arms. In addition, it presents a small hook in front to hold documents. It is essential to highlight the presence of the cross. This could belong to several military orders, whose emblem is differentiated by color: the Order of Calatrava (red), founded in the Kingdom of Castile in the 12th century; that of Alcántara (green), created in the middle of the 12th century in the Kingdom of León; or the Order of Santa María de Montesa and San Jorge de Alfama (black with a Greek cross inscribed in red), also known as Montesa and founded by Jaime II of Aragón in the fourteenth century. Thanks to its decoration, the present is one of those rare cases in which the object would have been created with the aim of being destined for use by one of those religious military orders. The normal thing is that, following the same model, you cannot distinguish if your destination is civil or religious. In itself, this type of metal objects are not usually preserved, since their material allows the recasting of the same once the artistic style in which they were made has gone out of style or its owner sells it.
