Crafted from patinated bronze and set upon a marble plinth, this desktop sculpture depicts a realistically rendered stork head. The modeling captures the bird's distinctive anatomy in lifelike detail from its long tapered bill to the feathered texture of its head plumage. Despite its delicate naturalism, the sculpture remains sturdy and functional, serving as a paperweight, letter holder and paper clip. A mechanism allows the beak to open and close via a trigger on the reverse. The patina lends depth and rich tone to the bronze.
