Murano Vintage Millefiori Flower Mosaic Italian Art Glass Pedestal Paperweight
About the Item
Beautiful and unusual, tall vintage Murano hand blown dark pink and white flower murrines Italian art glass pedestal paperweight. Attributed to the Fratelli Toso company. The paperweight has some rigaree thread decoration on the piece. The top of the paperweight / sculpture has an egg design, with inner millefiori mosaic flowers. Also, at the bottom of the base, it has the same pink murrines, pushing. up in a cone shape. For accuracy, the rigaree designs have some sharp points to them, they are not broken, just the tips of the glass folds are sharp to the touch. Would make a great display piece on any desk, dresser or coffee table. Mid-century era. Measures 8" tall x 3 3/8" wide at the base.
