19th Century Gilt and Gesso Frame attributed to President James Polk Estate

Early 19th century gilt and gesso picture frame. Found at an estate sale in Columbia, Tennessee. Objects from the sale were attributed to President James K. Polk's estate. Fantastic alligatored gilded surface. Please see images. There are losses to the gesso.
