Midcentury Table Picture Frame Made in Silver Plated Woven Wicker, Italy 1970s
About the Item
A splendid frame almost certainly made in Italy between the 70s and 80s which reproduces the intertwining of natural fibers such as rope, rattan and wicker with precious materials as Silver Plated.
This technique had already spread in Europe during the 1950s for the creation of table accessories such as bread baskets and bottle holders; just think of those designed by Lino Sabattini for the historic company "Christofle".
This Picture Frame, coming from a Roman house, was placed on a console, specular to one of the same dimensions and produced by the same company.

Both frames are in good vintage condition, the photos inside are not the ones that were originally contained within and are for illustrative purposes only.
These Picture Frames can be used for both vertical and horizontal photos measuring 25cm by 19cm.
This Vintage Picture Frames has the manufacturer's sticker but we were unable to trace the company name.
