About the Item
German Jugenstil picture or mirror desk frame in elaborately tooled and gilt leather. The piece was made in circa 1905 by A. Rixner in Linz, Germany. Makers mark on the front and stamp on the back side: "A. Rixner - K. u K. Hof- und Kammerbuchbinder". Rixner was a renown bookbinder who worked for the royal and imperial German household. In great antique condition with age-appropriate wear and use.
