About the Item
Abstract Metal Sculpture by Jacques Scheepens, The Netherlands 1960s. Scheepens studied at the Royal Academy of art in Den Bosch from 1948 until 1951, he practiced sculptures, paintings, drawings and objects. The sculpture is composed several in shape forced and hammered sheets and rods of metal welded together into this speactacular shape. The welding lines really divides the sculpture into different parts and underline its strong geometric appearance. The surface shows a nice textured surface which is giving the sculpture a unique character. The sculpture stands on a square metal base (loose), beautiful from every angle. The sculpture comes from the art collection of the city of Eindhoven, signed at the bottom. In excellent original condition.
