Contemporary Angry Animal clay sculpture by Jung Jisook

About the Item

Jung Jisook wanted to express the lives of atoms that constantly move between life or matter that constantly change while alive. They don't know where the destination is, resemble a continuously flowing cloud. Jung Jisook (1987) is a South Korean artist based in Seoul. She uses clay as her main material to shape metaphorical creatures into three dimensions. People or animals are simplified with clay to form almost a lump, and clay grains, small and miscellaneous things that can be easily obtained in everyday life, and materials with interesting texture are irregularly grouped and covered on the surface. This mass of life is mainly expressed in primary colors and the overall outline is made up of loose curves, which seem to move slowly.
