Jean-Marie Simonnet and Martha, Les Simonnet Sculpteurs, Sculpture polymorphic red lacquered fiber glass, Circa 1968, France. Height: 2m50, width: 130 cm, depth: 90 cm. After meeting with the Beaux Arts in Paris in architecture section, from which they emerge graduates in 1970, Jean Mary and Martha SIMONNET are implemented and common life and are devoted exclusively to the creation and realization of plastic works: sculptures, paintings , outdoor games for children, kites Monumental. The Simonnet realize their works in their studio. Their creation does not separate the pleasure of manufacturing. She finds instead a source of inspiration. The Simonnet remained faithful to armed plastics technology they have learned to master. This choice was imposed both for technical reasons, need to make shells, envelopes, not full volumes, the ability to realize oneself rather than storing casts, but also for economic reasons, result of creations prior to any command, control production costs. The Simonnet have the desire to integrate their creations to life of their contemporaries. For that they are interested in architecture, urban furniture, children's games.
