About the Item
Three small Ceramic Totems in Mottled Turquoise and Dark Blue. They each consist of a single vertical ring on a small curved leg. Each part is hand built in ceramic stoneware, attached together and fired twice. The tallest is 5 7/8 inches tall.
Signed with Artist's signature chop inside.

Helena Starcevic Ceramics produces work that straddles the line between fine and decorative art. Each piece is one of a kind, hand-built entirely by the artist in her New York studio. Taking inspiration from the natural world, Ms. Starcevic's work includes references to the stark beauty of the desert, prehistoric cave paintings, and the human form (within and without). Everything is filtered through Ms. Starcevic’s own singular aesthetic, at once quiet yet strong, meditative, and beautiful. Pieces are made in different clays and finishes, and at different scales. Groupings are available. Helena Starcevic’s ceramic pieces are held in private collections across the US and Europe. She has held numerous residencies including one at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City.
