Philip H. Darling Long Island, New York 1960s-1970s Remarkable bronze sculpture by New York based artist Philip H. Darling. This piece rests in a brass block that is attached to a studded brass plate and secured to a solid wood base. Philip H. Darling was a prominent public sculptor in Long Island, New York in the 1960s and 1970s. He worked exclusively with metal. His most notable work is his commission for the Rockville Centre Public Library in 1963. Features: Artnews - 1961, Volume 60 - Page 46 New York Times - May 22, 1977 - Page 513 Measures about 34” in height and 15” wide with a footprint of 11.5” by 6.25”. Perfect condition. Signed.
