About the Item
"Piastra" a unique art glass block sculpture on a black enamelled metal pedestal by artist Leonardo Cimolin executed in Murano for the Berengo Collection. 3.5 cm glass thickness signed and dated by the artist. Made in Murano Venice Italy
Dinamic Abstract lines in different hues of blue, black, amber rapresenting the meaning of the present through colors and shapes.
Leonardo Cimolin was born in Dolo (Venice) in 1971, lives and works in Mira. He started working with glass more then twenty years ago in a Venice's furnace. His work frequently combines different materials and tecniques. Leonardo is fascinated by the use of colour and multiple glass forms which he uses to define his sculptures.
These two means are used by the artist as symbols of contempary and everyday life becoming the protagonist of his work permanently present in the Berengo Collection and in various other public and private collections.
