About the Item

Sculptor and painter, he is much appreciated and famous above all for his innovative metal (bronze, iron, etc.) and marble sculptures, highly dynamic, with often suggestive titles: Flight, Wind, Mirror. Some of them, of large proportions, are found in exceptional exhibition areas, such as Tensions (1979), located in Gibellina in the largest open-air museum of contemporary art in Europe, together with the works of the major artists of the time such as Pietro Consagra, Emilio Isgrò, Alberto Burri; or Image (1962), also in iron, placed in the garden of the church of San Francesco in Prato. Other smaller works of his have been selected for his prestigious collection by the famous gallery owner Claudia Gian Ferrari (donated to FAI, and now exhibited in the beautiful Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan). He participates several times in the Rome Quadriennale, the Venice Biennale (even with a personal room, 1956), in important exhibitions in Milan and Florence, is the winner of the International Contemporary Sculpture Award (Carrara 1957), and is often a guest of prestigious exhibitions international (Moderne Italienische Bildhauer, Hannover, Escultores italianos, Lisbon 1970, and then Buenos Aires 1971, Tokyo 1972, Hong Kong 1974). His works can be found in prestigious private collections, and have been auctioned in famous auction houses. The work in question requires a certificate of free circulation to be shipped. This certificate takes on average two months to arrive and it is possible to request it only after the sale of the object, the cost of the certificate is € 200 + VAT. Therefore, the time to have the free circulation certificate must be added to the shipping times.
