Sheldon Rose Vintage Alpha Typographic Cube Sculpture Mixed Media
About the Item
This interesting alpha cube abstract sculpture by Sheldon Rose is a mixed media comprised of polychrome metal and paint. It features a medley of faux letterpress symbols, numbers and letters. Each side is different and feasts the eyes. It is a cast metal form with gold paint simulating a brass look. We had it cleaned and re-painted in worn places. It is called the alpha sculpt and is not signed that we can see. Some were signed and others were not. It is from 1968 and is mid century modern. Sheldon Rose attended the Cooper Union in the 1960's and is best known for these iconic sculptures that all vary and are different. The letters, numbers and symbols are raised.
