This is a small vintage Aztec idol figure. A South American, obsidian Mayan sculpture, dating to the Mid-20th Century, circa 1950. Distinctive chief figure with striking stone quality. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Handcarved obsidian presents black tones with a golden sheen. Superb craftsmanship with head-dress detail and sharp features. Appealing decor for the mantlepiece or display shelf. This is an appealing vintage Aztec idol figure, with great tonality to the cool obsidian stone. Delivered polished and ready to display.
